This is the only thing that makes sense, but what possible story is there that like, necessitates Zack and you can't just use Goto in his place instead? Zack isn't somebody that has a lot of intricate stories associated with his character, unless we're doing Zack vs. Taichi at the dome, which uh, Taichi isn't even in the G1, so probably not.

Doesn't it work better for them to beat Goto, the last remnant of the golden era? Even beating EVIL, a detestable heel, would make more sense. That's what I was expecting, I thought EVIL was gonna beat Goto so he could lose the title to Tsuji or Finlay or something.
Unless Zack is gonna go Evil Foreigner or something, but that would be really weird.
