why did he fumble so bad?
I'm pretty sure he lost control by the time wcw got axed. AOL merger probably caused it
>>18123676Didn't mean to self title my post. my bad
>>18123649 (OP)he has dementia. please understand
>>18123649 (OP)Becuase he's got Parkinsons
>>18123683just make sure you don't ever do it again
>>18123649 (OP)Him and Vince have lived long enough to watch their creations be torn apart
He went full retard with the AOL/TW merger. He thought he would either be in charge or still control TW, but neither happened and AOL Time Warner cancelled WCW right away.
>>18123649 (OP)Because in WCW the inmates ran the asylum. In WWF, there was an illusion that the inmates ran the asylum.
>>18123649 (OP)he just wanted to be Vince's friend
>>18123649 (OP)because the guy has autism
iirc he cancelled a cartoon because one of the characters who was a cat lady gave him nocturnal emissions despite it being one of their top cartoon shows
>>18124435He canceled it because of the violence. Stop spreading fake news about Big Tele Ted.
>>18123649 (OP)Never seen anyone make Vince Jr seethe as much as Ted Turner. Runners up are Janel Grant, that interviewer, and Stevie Richards' Proud Gay American gimmick.
>>18124435I loved SWAT Kats The Radical Squadron
>>18123649 (OP)ted did a lot of shitty things, but his desire to ensure this dumb ass hobby was available to as many people as possible regardless of whether it was really worth it is pretty admirable
If the aol merger never happened, I assume wcw survives all of the 2000s.
By the time Turner has to retire, we have no idea what execs would be in place
and if ATAT still buys it they would want wcw content for hbo max I assume.
I guess they would also still have warner music and would be trying to get rid of the cable division now
>>18124701by then it'd probably have brand identity status like wwe and still did decent numbers in its dying days it was just mogged by wwe so i think it would still have a place on tv and streaming they would just have to balance the books in the 2000s and get rid of over priced shitters like kevin r nash like when vince did cuts in the early 90s
nitro was still the highest rated weekly show on tnt and was one of the highest rated weekly shows on cable, even in 2000. only wwf was higher. It wasn't really anything to do with ratings. They just didn't want wrestling on tnt anymore because they thought it was gay and didn't bring in enough advertising revenue which is perhaps true
