Why are these 3 the big producers/exporters of wrestling? Why does no other country really go for it? India, in the modern era, has consumed a ton of it, and the UK is kind of catching on. But not a lot of action else where honestly.

If other countries are doing it nowadays it would end up being a disappointment like what those three countries are doing anyway since global creativity is fucking declining from every aspects. We already suffered disappointment after disappointment, we don't need more especially if it attracts a fanbase that might be even worse than Joshipedos, AEWtists, E-drones and Nujamals combined

Honestly this. I don't mind if it just results in an awful/boring products with 0 fans but it would usually attracts schizos and (retarded) diehard worshippers that might be even worse than what we already have today.

why did it never take off in korea? rikidozan was north korean but went to japan, as did other korean wrestlers like kintaro ohki. i think they even had an nwa territory at one point too but there's never really been a korean wrestling scene.

probably because they Anglo North America (US and Canada, Mexico, and Japan gave birth to the three distinct major styles of Pro Wrestling (Sports Entertainment, Lucha Libre, and Puroresu respectively), and has their own markets to cater to

But why did it catch on so feverishly in these locales but has never been done anywhere else to this degree? India, China, Mongolia, Russia, a majority of Europe; a lot of places with rich culture and history with performing arts just never thought to do wrestling?

Those are pretty self explanatory. The two biggest countries that spent decades under corrupt authoritarian rule and worked endlessly to ensure western culture didn’t influence their counties people

>Dyke was responsible for cancelling ITV's coverage of professional wrestling in 1988.
>In his early years, Dyke was an active supporter of the Labour Party. In 1977, he attempted to win a seat on the Greater London Council (GLC) for Labour at Putney. Until 1999, he was considered "very much part of Tony Blair's New England", attending parties to celebrate Labour's 1997 election victory. He donated £55,000 to the party, which prompted controversy over his subsequent appointment as BBC director-general during the Blair government.
>Dyke controversially described the corporation in early 2001 as "hideously white"

Pro wrestling did catch on in Europe. It was massive in France until the 80s but WWF took over the TV market there. I'm pretty sure a similar thing happened in Germany, but Germany still has a big and influential indie scene to this day

You forgot Canada. Even though they have a shit scene, they produce a lot of talent historically.
Austalia also has weird ratio of talent/scene.

Besides the historical ties to pro wrestling. They all have 100+ million inhabitants. So it's easier to carve out an audience. Besides China and Russia which are authoritarian states. I do wonder why it didn't take off in India. They clearly love it.

Modern pro wrestling caters to the absolute smallest niche cast offs of athletes. Globally most dudes are trying to be a professional in damn near every sport imaginable that isnt pro wrestling. Wrestling is probably like #30 on the list >>18134264
India is a cricket and a professional rapist country. No time for fake wrestling.

USA and Japan are the biggest exporters of culture in general. What is abnormal here? And in Mexico, wrestling is a cultural heritage thing.

This one is kind of interesting since WWE is huge over there and real wrestling used to be massive there. Honestly, I'm not sure.
