On top of this being untrue, the era Sting actually carried WCW on his back was the period when Flair was in the WWF and the people Sting worked with in that period certainly held up their end of the bargain when the bell rang

I'd argue Vader carried the company as a heel. He was THE guy and I loved seeing him beat the shit out of everyone. His match with Ron Simmons was great too.
