It took the hype and the excitement and happiness, and made it all sound sad and tragic.

So here's the thing:
I never actually watched the clip of Cody winning the title before, but I've read on here several times about how this bitch ruined the moment by crying while announcing him as winner
Now I see this post, and I finally decided to watch it on youtube
My assessment? It was sort of cringe, but it wasn't as cringe as I always imagined it to be
I was expecting her to be a weeping overdramatic mess throughout the entire announcement
She did say "here is your winner" in a weird way, also the choked-up "and the new" part was definite cringe
But she somewhat saved it by sounding more 'regular' for the rest of it
Would I have preferred she just announce the whole thing normally? Absolutely. But it wasn't that bad overall, I can see now why some people defend it and say it added to the moment

It flopped, in my opinion due to her poor choice in doing slow neo-soul R&B for her debut thot music video, instead of something more upbeat like Doja Cat-style pop/hiphop
She has a decent singing voice and a nice body that she's not afraid to show off, but her choice in music to promote herself just sucked. Many such cases
