I like how Dave will look far & wide and dig as deep as he can to get the "real" WWE numbers, but when the numbers reported for AEW are good he just accepts whatever they are as the truth and moves on. One report came out months ago saying that AEW was doing ~500K on Max and that's the truth despite no official word from AEW or WBD. And even if those numbers are true then how stupid are AEW and WBD for not promoting that their show is actually doing twice as many viewers as people thought?

ONE person reported that 500k number, it was BJ Bethal who is horribly biased if you look at his reporting. Bethal also reported that Sony will make a play for WBD, a claim literally no creditable media journalist has ever backed up and a claim that doesn't make any sense because WBD hasn't even completed their split yet.

Max is likely doing anywhere from 75-150k, likely 100k. Which is a decent addition to the over AEW rating, but Dave can't help himself and keeps claiming they're doing way more than they are.
And it doesn't matter who tells Dave that it doesn't make any sense, he gets passive aggressive and dismissive.
His OWN website's resident "media insider" Andrew Zarian said they aren't doing anywhere close to 500k. Adam Silver has said he doesn't even know what he's doing on Max. WBD themselves said that that the live stream isn't a big component of Max. We know Max isn't that active, so how the fuck are they doing 500k live?
