Fumbled? That would imply he ever had the ball to run with. He's always been a shitter. His entire gimmick is his entrance. Vince was right when he wanted to make him a manager.

Bro heโ€™s an overachiever when it comes to both his in ring accomplishments and his lack of any sort of muscle and athletic ability. The fact that he has carnied both WWE and AEW into years long contracts despite being legitimately unable to do anything physical should be commended.

Vince's flaw are he either fumbles stars or sometimes lets go of them when they've still got something left in the tank. Even the people that he tries to force down your throat that everyone hates eventually end up proving him right down the road.
But he's genuinely never been wrong about people who "can't/won't" be stars.

He didn't achieve anything at that level. Nobody in wrestling today 'achieves' anything, because there are no stakes, and there are no stakes, because the companies function the same regardless of who holds what belt. There's nothing to achieve. Nobody, not a single wrestler or feud is is drawing gates or ratings based on star power. Back when it mattered, drawing was the achievement. And if you were a draw, you got the fake fighting belt. Now, they just give the belt if they personally like you, whether you're a draw or not (most times not).

Adam Cole got title reigns in an era where he didn't have to draw anything. Hell, in NXT, he lost in the ratings to AEW. And in AEW, he tanked the ratings below NXT.

Wrestlers and feuds do still draw, as you show with your last two lines lol the thing is that, wrestling audience are less volatile than 20 years ago because they're smaller and the ones left are more dedicated and take a while to tune out but they come running back in when something interesting is going on
Occasional viewers can catch up later easily, so when something is hot, it gets traction, but the variation less visible in the ratings that only track the day of broadcast

He main evented a show with more people than Hogan and Rock. He's had a better career than 90% of most people in the businesses.

lol that would be the opposite of my point, because it offers a slightly logical explanation for why AEW isn't drawing zero (0) people, except since AEW also keeps making the same mistakes, the audience is less and less likely to come back when something interesting happens

>Wrestlers and feuds do still draw,
Not really. Only thing modern wrestlers can tank ratings, but they never draw them. You notice ratings never significantly go up, but always go down? You never hear
>RAW DOES RECORD HIGH
>AEW DOES RECORD HIGH
It's always record lows, because there's a baseline for both companies. If the shows are OK, the baseline returns. If the shows are trash, it plummets. There will never be, and you've never seen in the last 10 years, a new wrestler draw record ratings in either company, because they can't draw. The companies can, though.

Heโ€™s overachieved massively. In any other era he would be sitting behind the guard rail but heโ€™s managed to make millions of dollars and awarded numerous title reigns while being a frail skeleton that canโ€™t wrestle. Itโ€™s incredibly impressive what being a nice guy backstage gets you nowadays, because thatโ€™s what everyone says about Cole, that heโ€™s just such a nice guy everyone backstage loves him.

Guy did no core training to build resistance to bumps. Nobody who trains their tendons and joints for strength would injure themselves jumping 3 feet. He got comfy with his checks and played too many videogames.
