Truth manages to steal the MitB case from Paul with it on the line on Smackdown as Paul struggles to keep Seth's team together the night before. Cashes in at Summerslam on Cena v Cody as cheating Cena is about to win. Cody recovers, stops Truth from killing Cena, and Truth knocks Cody the fuck out (Canon because Cody continues to fail to be Truth in any of Cody's personalities), Cena recovers, Beats Truth down in rage, Cody stops Cena from killing Truth and Truth pins Cena in the confusion of the moment. Spends the net few weeks taunting Cena with the belt which ends up in a Fatal 4-Way between Truth, Cena, Cody, and Orton.

Okay so the build up is Cena comes out with his new merchandise despite saying we get nothing, gets beaten up by Cody each show leading up to the PPV, then at the PPV Cody hits Cena with the belt and even though he tried killing Kevin Owens recently and was cheered, this will be treated as a heel turn, but Cena will be saved by 14 run-ins. Nothing is progressed story-wise, but we now have less of Cena's remaining dates until he finally fucks off to voice Honda ads for the rest of his "career". Wrestlemania will be heel Cody vs heel Cena with both of them doing a double face turn and Cena passing the torch to Cody, cementing him as the new sociopath we're supposed to think is a good honest role model.

I like it. Unironically. If there was ever a way to justify your four flag shows being 2 nights, it would be sheer insanity like this. Obviously some things like Brock and Taker wouldn't happen, maybe not Travis Scott, but this is good. My only thing would be that if Cena AND Punk win, it has to lead to some type of match with them. Otherwise Cody should win.
