Cody's never had friends in his life, he has NPCs he deems useful or useless to his goals. I dislike the Bucks, but why would they love and support someone who promised they'd all build this thing together for years, but then backstabbed them and started the downfall of AEW (to be fair, the Bucks also did this in a different way). Cody deliberately tried to start a mass exodus to WWE. He was bringing Starks backstage to make connections. He was calling Jade, Shawn Spears. Probably tried to get MJF to leave. That's not the behavior of a guy who wants AEW to succeed kek. He wants to kill the company they helped create and live off.

Losing Jade kind of sucks despite her greenness. She was fun as a monster heel in AEW, only hurt because Tony doesn't know how to pivot and it HAD to be Kris who dethroned her, and had lots of potential with how they protected her.
Jade in WWE doesn't feel special anymore, even with recent attempts to repair her and having Naomi just get a good match out of her. Same thing has happened with Jordynne Grace in NXT where she had a unique thing going for her in TNA, and now already feels like another face in the crowd.
