he had good matches as greg helms but he wasn't working with the rock or being a top merch seller using his real name

Hurricane was good, but anyone can do a goofy gimmick. As Helms he showed that he could actually hang.

Hurricane was obviously the much bigger draw but I respect him for moving away from a dimes gimmick just to try something new

Gregory Helms. That Cruiserweight title reign he had was super based

Hurricane got an Elite figure and a Superstars figure to come soon. So The Hurricane still wins

I wish they revived the title, even if it's just symbolic like the heritage cup or the andre the giant battle royal

Of course the cartoonish kid-friendly Hurricane was way more marketable on a surface level. But that mid/late 2000s Gregory Helms heel run had upper card if not lower tier main event potential. If they had invested in him more and let him break through that Cruiserweight ceiling he could have been a bigger name that would've been more valuable than most remember it being

The Hurricane was one of like three things to get over during the shitshow that was the Invasion and by some literal who that the fraction of the audience who recognized him just knew as one of those boy band twinks in WCW, that was a good ass gimmick.

Sugar Shane was a good cruiserweight champion.
He wasn't on the level of Juventud, Jericho, and Mysterio.
The Hurricane had a rivalry with and main evented RAW against The Rock.
He made Stacy Keibler into something more than eye candy.
He made a samoan a super hero.
I gotta go Hurricane.
