Why did the "Main Event" Jey Uso experiment fail so fast?
No shitposting, genuine answers.
>career tag team shitter is now a main event singles star
>>18323226 (OP)He's shit. His moveset and promos revolve around spamming one thing each. He only got a push because Rikishi has dirt on Hunter.
>>18323236That's literally Cody Rhodes.
He's so >>>/trash/ even drones couldn't pretend they enjoy choking down that slop.
Bad rivalry. uso refused to have a good promo against one of the best modern wrestlers of all time, he just shucked and jived. Should have gotten the scrapy underdog trying to beat a legend.

If people are going to pop and buy his merch regardless of whether he wins or loses, or if the matches are good or shit, so he doesn't need a title. Also, the champion has to be on call to do media 24/7, so his turning up drunk to the pressers probably worked against him.
>>18323226 (OP)Swerve is 1-4 in his last 5 PPV singles matches. He only won the 1 PPV match so he could job the next month to Moxley. Is he failed as well? Or is AEW letting other wrestlers have a turn in the rotation before putting him back into the mix?
>>18323455Swerve flopped as a "world" champion too. But non-whites will get multiple opportunities.
>>18323455Dude failed so hard he crashed out on booker t
It was dong fine. Dude was over, people were buying merch, participating in the matches. Don't know why Haitch abandoned ship so quickly
>>18323226 (OP)The one promo where he forgot his lines against Gunther was the nail in the coffin
>>18323517This and a few bad botches came at the worst time. He's a midcard merch pusher, nothing wrong with that being his ceiling. He rode the Yeet thing to a Mania appearance
>>18323561I think the pressure of having to be a main eventer despite everyone seeing him as a midcard guy got to him. He was always a sloppy worker, but not to the extent of after the Royal Rumble where he had his infamous match against Austin Theory where he managed to have two horrible botches in under one minute
It's still wild that they went ahead and put the world title on him after THAT match
Jey was never supposed to be a main event guy. It was about the chase.
