>WM lower than the Royal Rumble
probably because of the lackluster and mostly thrown together mania build

I'm glad that we finally got actual data once again, I miss the PPV era where we can actually measure audience interest by looking at the No. of buys for every pay per view, the Network totally made this type of measuring totally obsolete

>WM lower than the Royal Rumble
This actually makes sense. The Rumble is by far the most fun show of the year. Even if you don't give a shit about the current product or follow it week to week you can watch and enjoy it. Mania is only going to interest people who care what's on the card. The Rumble is fun for the surprise of it all and not knowing. Diehards watch it. Lapsed fans can watch it. Casuals can watch it. Even people who don't even know wrestling can watch a Rumble and have fun with it
Granted it may not be what you want. Having the biggest show of the year not be the most popular. But I get it. The Rumble is just that based though

despite SummerSlam being promoted as WWE's second largest show, Royal Rumble often gets the second highest buys in most years back during the PPV era, 2003 is the only year I can recall where more people bought that year's Rumble over WM XIX

You're mostly right but Wrestlemania split into two days is less appealing to casual fans than if it was just one with the biggest draw matches.

I think casual fans would prefer a 4 hour Mania in two separate days because those final WMs (looking at 35) where the whole event lasts 7-8 hours, that shit is exhausting

Watching 8 hours of wrestling over two days is beyond "casual". A two hour WrestleMania with a heavily hyped main event would draw the most casual eyeballs. I have no idea how long the undercard was but think Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.

I think its also that WWE on Netflix started in January so it had the honeymoon period.

3 hours is the limit for me.
More than 3 hours, and I'm gonna forget half the show and get annoyed with the rest.

That actually is very interesting. I'm not sure what went so wrong. SummerSlam is feeling a lot more like WrestleMania than WrestleMania did.

I stopped watching in 2009 and only started again with the Royal Rumble this year, so this makes sense.
Did I really start watching at the moment WWE stopped being white hot...?

Those are really good numbers for the PLEs.
Keep in mind that's international audience ONLY. PLE's are still only on Peacock for US audiences (the main base).
