The Acolytes vs Public Enemy. When I was a little jimmy I thought wrestling was real, but when I watched that match I suddenly understood it was a work without having what a work was explained, and I damn well knew what a shoot looked like after this match.

That triple threat ladder match with the niggers, MCMG, and Johnny Reddit & Snitchbitch was pretty good.

Also liked that gauntlet match from last week's raw, even if that dimeless faggot Cock Mongler Chez came in and stole the W from Bronlet.

I remember when I first saw archival footage of the Rock/Mankind empty arena match, i thought it was the coolest thing ever. I started watching in the 2000s so I was bummed about arriving too late for that, but it made me seek out older wrestling matches from an early age.
RVD/Cena was also super cool to my edgy little ass back then.

I learned about tape trading from the old usenet groups, I was about 12 at the time. I met a Japanese guy in one of those groups who wanted someone to tape WCW shows for him. So I agreed to start taping Nitro for him and he started sending me Japanese wrestling tapes in return. The FMW stuff was easily my favorite, I showed it to my friends who only knew about WWF and WCW, it blew their minds as well.

Did you see Hayabusa 2's debut on Bahu's youtube channel before it got hit by the copyright strike? I saw it pop up on my feed and kinda went
>Meh, not really interested in some shitter trying to steal Haya's legacy
Then the match started and he opened up with the exact same sequence OG Haya used when he debuted the gimmick at Super J Cup and completely marked the fuck out. I wish I had downloaded it before Bahu was forced to delete it cause that shit was so kino.

i used to go to a fleamarket when i was a kid (during peak attitude era) and tape traders there had japanese shit. i also got into FMW with that, but my favorites from what i had was king of the deathmatch.

they used to sell official FMW DVDs here in some specialty stores, i think i got all of the ones that i ever saw. i watched the hayabusa one a lot back then.

I picked up a copy of the Hardcore Bible at a swap meet when I was a kid and wore the tape out so much watching it. I never found any other FMW stuff until I became an adult and got the internet, but if I had I would have become an absolute fanatic.

Fuckin' based as shit, lads. I can only wish to be a part of these scenes. I did a lot of reading about wrestling as a kid, but struggled with watching a lot of things because they weren't so easy to find, and I didn't know my way around the interwebs back in the day to figure out how to get these gems, so I had to fill in the blanks with fantasizing. Catching the odd japanese clip on a forum used to fuel my dreams.
Do you still hoard and scour around for rare or contemporary-but-obscure gook shit these days? We're so spoiled in current year that putting things on the shelf to watch later is the easiest ditch in the world to fall into. For example I've been meaning to properly watching GLEAT for a year now, but still haven't gotten further than the first half hour of a show.

>Do you still hoard
I have as near of a complete collection of FMW as is possible up until Onita's second retirement. There are a few shows that didn't have commercial tapes and I couldn't find fan cams. Of course I also don't have the untapped Kawasaki show where Big K and Taiyo Kea faced Hayabusa and Jinsei Shinzaki, because that is just straight up lost media and no one has it. I also have a bunch of W*ING shows burned onto DVDs but I didn't get as hard into W*ING as I did with FMW.
>and scour around
I don't really horde shit any more. FMW from the start to Onita's retirement, and all of W*ING are where wrestling peaked for me. I have some random Apache shows, but yeah that is pretty much the limit of my collection.
