he's dead, he can lift the ban he imposed to begin with to honor a legend. except that legend is on record as being based so the r*ddit audience will attack if there's a tribute. what's a money mark to do?

If he mentions Hogan I'm done with AEW. I don't hate the Hulkster or think he's a bad guy, but it would be massively hypocritical for him to honor a man he tried to virtue signal over

Tony wouldn't have access to any Hulk footage. I don't think NJPW even has access to his time in NJPW. All Tony could is ring the bell and put his picture on the screen. Funny thing is Hulk always put over AEW while Tony shit on him.

He literally only did that twice, and both were for wrestlers that worked for the companies he own.
The Jay Briscoe tribute show wasn't even in AEW.

E-chad here
This is one of the few people who I'll give a pass for ignoring Hogan's death entirely, solely because he HAS to be consistent with this
You cannot fucking ban a man from your company, then do a tribute to him when he dies. That makes zero damn sense
If Tony does that then he is MOST DEFINITELY in the running for KWABOTY this year for that shit, no fucking question

Agreed. Tony pretty much has no choice but to no-sell Hogan's death because he painted himself into a corner with that stupid ban. He could have just as easily enforced the ban unofficially without making it publicly known, so that in a situation like this he could suddenly about-face and do a quick tribute without anyone being the wiser. But now here we are. If he does a tribute he'll look like a huge idiot to those who like Hogan, and he'll piss off those who hate Hogan. It's a no-win situation
