To add onto this, Hogan probably wasn't even a racist since he spent a good majority of his career interacting with fans, celebrities, wrestlers, etc, of all different creeds and backgrounds.
In that moment, when he says nigger, he's not talking about all black people, he's talking about that one specific person who is daughter has brought home, most likely because said guy acted like a complete fucking nigger in front of him, in his house.
If Brooke had brought home, like, a person was in sports, was very respectful in his tone and dialect, thanked Hogan for hosting, etc, Hogan probably would have said in the private moment "Y'know, that (x) guy is really something else, brother. Good kid, going places. I hope she doesn't fuck it up, y'know, and let him slip it away"."
But people just don't get it.
