Two herniated discs? I've had that in my lower-middle back a few years ago, it's shit to deal with and heals on its own but takes a lot of rest and a lot of time. Some yoga helps move inflammation away and helps with recovery. Thanks DDP.
The time it takes is anywhere from a couple of months to a couple of years depending on how good you are at listening to your body and whether you rest or not.
If this guy actually has two herniated discs and they're pinching nerves in his spinal cord, he should be off the road and off the book for a year while his neck recovers and specialists can assess how badly he fucked himself up.
