Probably the one with Piper at Starrcade 96. If you're wanting pre-NWO babyface Hogan, then I would look at everything from the dungeon of doom storyline just because the whole thing is hilarious.

Everyone talks about how his Starrcade 97 match with Sting sucks, and it mostly does, but their next match at SuperBrawl VIII is much better.

Hulk is underrated when it comes to controlling the ring, the crowd and his opponents.

Hulk vs Goldberg:
>tells Goldberg backstage before the match: you're winning this match brother
>Goldberg asks Hogan to run through what they'll do during the match
>Hogan: don't worry brother, just follow my directions
>proceeds to make shitberg look good and give the crowd massive pops

Hogan vs Rock:
>crowd turns on Rock
>Hogan lean into it and change the flow of the match on the go
>still makes the rock look good and in the end makes the crowd cheer for him

These skills are extinct because it's been replaced by workrate. Hogan's abilities in the ring were never doing video game moves. It was total control of everything happening with the crowd and the opponent

I think in a modern context Hogan vs Warrior II is a masterpiece of the lost arts.
Nearing the conclusion of the match Hogan is suppose to blind Warrior with flashpaper, but instead accidently shoot blinds himself. If this happened 2015 onward with the talent of the contemporary era, Warrior would have still pretended he was blinded and Hogan would have tried to work through their planned spot shoot blind and the whole thing would fall to shit. Instead, 2 guys who rarely get credit for their in ring ability, still had enough brains in their head to improvise to the finish. Maybe it was the lack of screen time during childhood, or maybe it was the lack of participation trophies, but my generation and every generation before it were just built better.

Yes sir. Maybe the biggest reason for the late 90s wrestling resurgence. I say maybe because I'm more of an Austin guy, but if you say NWO was #1 reason I won't argue. They were just too sweet.
