This is probably the best reason to never trust what smarks have to say about wrestling. AEW Troons think we laugh at cagematch because it hypes their garbage matches up, but looking at this list is just as egregious when it comes to WWE.

I've always been of the opinion that I prefered the triple threat at Backlash 2004 than WM20. Benoit launches Michaels to the outside and then locks Haitch in the Crossface for like 7-8 minutes before that motherfucker decides to tap. Kind of made Michaels look like a geek (prolly because Haitch didn't want to look weak).

Backlash 2004 had a better flow to their match.

3, 7, and 10 i will accept. 10 being the least impressive. Huge Benoit fan but always thought that match was boring. Anything after 2010 we can just all admit is DA SLOPPAAAAAA. Yes. For everything surrounding it and the match itself is not bad, though the Raw match is technically better-- there's something about it. It's the first time in a long time that it felt like the Championship mattered. Still rewatch it from time to time.

I wouldn't call this top ten, but it's the best Triple Threat match.

Overall it's not a bad list, but most of these matches aren't promotion defining or legendary. THey're good matches, but you can't have Austin vs Bret, Shawn vs Taker, Phil vs Cena, mixed between those.

It's weird because he seemingly likes Angle even had him on the show a couple of times, but apparently never saw a five star match from him when people can name so many.

The RR match literally got Benoit a standing O and it was in contrast to one of the worst fucking title matches ever with Steiner and HHH. Like, Benoit's 2004 title win and steady booking in 2003 is off the Rumble match.
