Everyone fantasy booked some Hollywood Cena type of heel. I appreciate the idea of going meta heel as well as Cena turning in a big way so as to have a full career is neat. That said, it hasn't worked at all. In hindsight, best move would have been to keep him face and have him chase the 17 for the year.

Cena turned heel way too late, his heel "gimmick" could have worked anytime since he stopped wrestling full time in 2017, he has returned plenty of times, and he was jobbing to everyone, so the logical step was to use his "anger" to turn him heel. He still shows some fleeting momentary signs of brilliance from time to time, but his heel run is an objective flop.
