>>18438258 (OP)"Exposing the business" can also refer to showing the audience how much of it is scripted and cooperative and breaking the 4th wall, and audience immersion to what is happening. That is what Kayfabe protectors are ultimately more worried and invested in.
Generally you want your actors to sell a story of being hit to the face by another hurting and that whatever bracelet they are fighting over is worth hitting the other guy in the head with a toolbox with and that the hit seemed impactful in a way that a person watching it doesn't want to jump in and ask for them to be hit believing that the other guy didn't hit for real.
This applies to watching movies and other tv, you don't want to see the wires or think what's CGI in what shot, preferably, because that distracts from the emotional side of the story and your investment in the characters.
However, It's a weird dance between what is acceptable and what is not when moves like Old School, Flair flop, Hulking up are considered normal but doing consecutive Canadian destroyers is shit wrestling and tied to the wrestlers, the wrestlers previous exposure to the audience, the venue its being performed in etc etc.
So called true Kayfabe could not have survived over 2004 and 21 years past it due to internet so there is no point on wondering if Vince breaking it in 2025 would shock anyone.
