They should make it an angle: Write a whole story around him losing his confidence and starting to stutter even more
-he gets bullied about it and fights his bullies
-he finds help preferably someone with charisma issues or something so they can make pretapes out of helping each other
-beat the bullies in a blow off match, off to next promo he'll botch through and people just clap in support when he stumbles

It's simple stuff: Lean into the faults, instead of trying to hide the botching - marks love faulty characters, everyone loves an underdog, it gives him personality outside of his RicFlairDwayneStonecold-tribute personality, kids with problems speaking will love it, gain all the sympathy points, get more over, sell more shirts...
