This was the first time I'd been excited by anything in wrestling since Sakuraba and Shibata returned at the G1 finals so long ago I can't even remember when it was (2012?).
Historic shit that will go down in wrestling history/be the basis for some future Dark Side of the Ring episode.

Because they just gave him their world title and he was getting nearly everything he asked for he just couldn't handle people making the logical conclusion on their own that Punk had something to do with Colt not being around, he tried to bully a bunch of nerdy wrestling journalists into entraping themselves and failed miserably with a massive meltdown he thought sounded cooler in his head than it actually was.

What kind of mark shit is this? Being world champion doesn't make a toxic work environment rainbows and butterflies. If anything it probably exacerbates it and highlights the issues even more because now you're at the very top of things and your booking can't get better only the place you're at the top of still sucks and is miserable to be around so even a good moment like this still feels hopeless

Being as charitable as I can, I figured he thought Punk letting off steam would help and he could talk to everyone after. But yeah, he should've at the very least just end the conference and send Punk home. If he hadn't pussyfooted around so much the heat between Punk and the Elite might've cooled off.

He was about to enter a program with the hottest heel in the company at the time which would have made huge profits for Phil and the company, which is the only thing he seems to care about, except he also randomly is obsessed with some former friend he supposedly never even thinks about but has prepared an entire rant on post-match while injured. Maybe he was just upset at being a fragile little injury-prone bitch and knew at that moment is AEW run was a colossal failure.

It's legitimately all Tony's fault. I don't like Punk and think he overracted, but the buck stops with him. He could've squashed the rumors that pissed Punk off and should've addressed the Cabana situation as soon as Punk was signed. It's not like that shit was a secret. I don't like the Cucks either but I also see where they were coming from wanting Punk to stay chill for 6 months before working with him. If Tony just manned the fuck up and told everyone no more dirtsheet bullshit or fighting it might've worked. I mean for fucks sake Bryan had to fuckin fire Punk (which was the right call at that point).

Really the only guy that looks semi-decent coming out of the shitshow is Omega since he apparently just pulled the dog away and hasn't felt the need to take shots at anyone.

So you want the angle to be freezing cold? If they did it immediately, it would feel like an actual shoot and not a work.
It's also only the Bucks thinking this. Omega wanted to work with Punk. Guess who out of those 3 actually draw.

They antagonized him. Punk's a retard too but the Cucks weren't any better. Like I said I get wanting to stay apart from him for a while but they were still bitter about the thing instead of being adults and moving on. Ideally Tony would've been an actual boss and stopped the situation from ever happening
>>18746040
It's not ideal of course, but it would've quickly heat back up if they stayed apart and all acted like adults. But Punk had to throw his dick around on Collison and Perry had to be a retard.

Do you not understand anything about how pro-wrestling works whatsoever

Everyone who has a single cell in their brain understood right away this is a multi year 100 million dollar angle right away

Punk leaving is straight up the most potential money lost ever

If Tony was better at manipulating people (like how Vince is) he could've actually become real competition but he's just not build like that, Punk sperging out gave him a chance to do deranged amount of attention and money

People in this thread has already said similar sentiments, I myself missed all this and am not sure what spurned this or what happened between CM Punk & YB.

Punk didn't kill AEW. He handed them a golden opportunity to create a white hot angle. Kenny was on board, even Hangma'am was on board, but the Young Cucks refused to work a program with him and Tony was too dickless to force them to. Tony killed AEW.

AEW was doing fine before Punk came in though? He was the paranoid nutcase in the situation. Tony should have fixed the beef between those guys, but AEW was doing just fine before Punk came in
