What I hate most about modern wrestling is the indies have been killed by AEW due to the best of the best now making enough not to do indie shows so the special guys are like MLW and TNA guys. And then the ones that are any good of those wind up in AEW or NXT anyways.

But AEW basically stopped signing from the US indies almost 2 years ago. UK and Mexico, sure, plus NJPW/Stardom were raided and TNA had an exodus.
But it's been long enough since the US indies were "killed" by AEW/NXT, indie talent being "snatched up as soon as they show any promise" demonstrably doesn't happen anymore. That was 4-5 years ago, not today. Yet we're still not seeing any signs of recovery. There's really no excuse for the indies anymore. Indie wrestlers are just not putting the work in.

It's no longer truly edgy or kino. AEW is try-hard edgy, WWE is all about obviously fake and gay worked shoots. No one watches Nu Jamal. Almost every wrestler is a faggot outside of Lashley, Lesnar, or McIntyre.
I unironically get better wrestling and entertainment value out of a fucking TJPW show where they start off with a bullshit dancing number or Stardom where it's semi-attractive bugs shooting on each-other and cutting catty japbabble promos.
