it's not a noncompete, he's still under contract with the WWE. if he really wanted to he could go on aew, WWE would just stop paying him and not rehire him and he wants to be able to go back to the WWE in 2027

noncompete clauses aren't binding or enforceable. what happens is when you sign with the WWE (or AEW) you sign an exclusive contract where you can't work at another promo while under contract without permission, which is bullshit since they are independent contractors. then when the WWE releases you they give you 90 days notice. so it's like
>hey we are taking you off tv and your contract ends in 3 months.
WWE pays them during that time. if Andrade really wanted to he could go on AEW and wrestle but he would forfeit his pay for those 90 days and WWE wouldn't ever hire him again because he breached his contract. there might also be like a fine written into the contract
