From a writing perspective alone what were the best angles ever booked in the history of wrestling?

>it was the best work ever

Is that not the Screwjob though? You still have the marks buying that one as a shoot 30 years later

No I mean the entire arc of WCW vs the WWF was a work
>WCW, the heel, takes over for a bit cause the WWF, the face, is floundering
>the WWF hulks up and demolishes WCW and launches wrestling mainstream
>WCW keeps doing stupid shit to keep people going to the WWF like with the commentators mentioning Foley winning and hiring Russo and shit
>culminates to arguably the best WWF show of all time WM X-7
It's quite literally a wrestling storyline
Vince bought WCW in the 90s or was atleast working closely with Ted for an eventually merger that fell apart when WCW went to far

Probably some territory shit no one knows or talks about. That's the funny thing about wrestling. If anyone says anything we know of is the best/most popular/worst/whatever there's a good chance there was something that was better/more popular/worse than that in some time that most people don't know of, or can't know of because it's actually been lost to time outside of the halls of the secret wrestling illuminati library.

Yeah that one should be pretty obvious as well. Too much lines up. Then you also have Paul Heyman the "oracle" laying it all out here at the beginning

Which is hilarious because the PPV itself was just a series of shitty 2 minute matches. But the payoff was an A+ that immediately made Rock the top heel in the company.

Vinny Ru still hails that as his magnum opus. It really is an amazing piece of storytelling, it's a shame he never reached those heights again. He does have a few other moments of glory like the DX invasion of WCW, Halftime Heat, and Foley winning the title
