Can someone explain this country's bizarre love of the Von Erichs?

Nobody thinks of Israel as a wrestling country, but for some reason in the 80s the Israelis loved the Von Erichs and WCCW. Why?

I think it was pretty much the only wrestling they had on TV but to be fair World Class in its golden years is fucking kino, their televised matches were better than JCP or Mid South
If Fritz had been remotely business minded WCCW could have been massive outside of Texas but he wasn't and then things went downhill

Cos the brand of Evangelism the Von Erichs were part of, they kissed Israel's ass but really only viewed Jews and Israel as a means to the end of their Armegeddon Rapture Fetish.
