Posers in wrestling
There is nothing more cringe in wrestling than well established stars in big promotions romanticising the idea of finishing their careers in empty bingo halls. It just screams "poser". They do not understand the struggle of never making it. They can't understand the grind of not knowing if you'll make it through the next year on a handshake and a hot dog. They only started doing it once there was a rich mark they could swindle out of money for less work. It's like when an unc tries to relate to kids on fortnite. They never have to face the grim reality that they are one injury away from financial ruin at all times. They know that even if AEW doesn't work out, they can always go back to WWE. It's just feels so fake and like a slap in the face of fans who supported them through good and bad just so they can get one last check from a retard with a huge wallet. For them it's a nostalgic cameo, for real ones it's their entire career trajectory.
