Hikari did some blood spots but I don't think she'd be particularly good in a Blood and Guts. She'd be swinging weapons and hitting air, like with her dropkicks and thrust kicks.

I think Aino would be shockingly good in that type of match. Maybe Kaya.

>“When people say I don’t seem like a pro wrestler, I actually take that as the highest compliment — it makes me really happy!”
>Mifu Ashida arrived at the interview location in her casual clothes. After chatting for a while, I realized she truly didn’t give off any “pro wrestler vibes” at all, so I let that thought slip out. To my surprise, she was genuinely delighted.
>“There was a time when I trained too much and ended up with a really wrestler-like physique,” she said. “But I felt like that wasn’t quite me. I realized that it could actually be a strength if I don’t look like a wrestler at first glance — but once the match starts, I fight with full intensity. That contrast, that element of surprise, has become one of my biggest weapons.”
>Originally, Ashida had been active as a talent and actor in the entertainment industry. About two and a half years ago, she received an unusual offer through her agency: “If you take this movie role, you’ll also debut as a professional wrestler.” That became her entry point into the world of pro wrestling.
>“Actually, before that, I once appeared in a stage play about pro wrestling,” she recalled. “I played a rookie wrestler and even did pro-wrestling-style action scenes on stage. To prepare for the role, I went to watch a DDT Pro-Wrestling show and took a commemorative photo with Sanshiro Takagi. I didn’t really know who he was at the time, though! (laughs) So when the idea of debuting as a real pro wrestler came up, I didn’t feel that much resistance. I had at least touched that world a little before.”
>Having devoted herself to cheer dance since elementary school, Ashida was confident in her physical abilities — but after her very first training session, she found herself regretting it, thinking: “I already want to quit…”
>“Training hurts, you know? You get bruises just from bouncing off the ropes. The more I trained, the more confused I got — like, ‘Wait, why am I letting this person hit me?’ (laughs).
Anonymous No.19262662 [Report] >>19262667 >>19262715
>>19262659
>Every day I was sweating, crying, and constantly thinking about quitting right away.”
>Although she had briefly encountered pro wrestling before, stepping into an actual ring without really knowing the details felt overwhelmingly intimidating. Yet as she kept going instead of giving up, she realized she was gradually sinking deeper and deeper into the “pro wrestling swamp.”
>“Before all this, I used to be the kind of person who tried to please everyone, no matter where I was. But in pro wrestling, you can’t just keep putting on a good face. As I kept at it, I started to really enjoy expressing different emotions and fighting with them.”
>“At first, every time I got a bruise, I’d worry like, ‘How do I hide this?’ And even a small scrape would make me panic — ‘Oh no! I need to go to the hospital!’ But before I knew it, I started to see those bruises and scars as badges of honor — proof that I was a pro wrestler.”
>“People often say, ‘Quitting is easy — you can do it in an instant,’ right? Maybe that was true for me when I had just started wrestling. But now? No way. I’ve been present at other wrestlers’ retirement ceremonies and found myself thinking, ‘What will it be like when it’s my turn?’ But then I immediately think, ‘No way, I can’t quit wrestling!’ For me right now, the hardest thing in the world would be to stop wrestling. I want to keep going, keep improving, and achieve even more!”
>Starting this year, she officially became a member of Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling.
>Although there are now many options within the women’s wrestling scene, she says she immediately chose TJPW because “I felt this was the ring where I could pursue multiple paths — not just wrestling, but also other kinds of activities.”
>However, since so many wrestlers in TJPW are also active in various fields, she admits that at first, she felt a bit pressured.
Anonymous No.19262667 [Report] >>19262671 >>19262715
>>19262662
>“It seems like the fans saw me as someone who was really pushing forward aggressively, but honestly, I felt like I had to go that hard. If I just wrestled normally, I’d get lost among all the other strong personalities — I’d fade into the background. So I kept trying to put myself out there more and more, and along the way, I think I finally discovered that ‘weapon’ I mentioned earlier.”
>While she’s been awakening as a pro wrestler, Ashida also has another side — that of a “Japan Ambassador.”
>The Japan Ambassador program designates representatives who promote Japan’s proud “things,” “people,” and “culture” both domestically and abroad. In that contest, Ashida was awarded the 2024 runner-up (Second Grand Prix) title.
>“The reason I first entered the entertainment world was actually a beauty pageant I took part in when I was in junior high school,” she explained. “When I left the agency that had been taking care of me for a while, I thought, ‘Why not go back to my roots and try entering a pageant again?’ — and that’s how I became a Japan Ambassador.
>Since I was already wrestling by then, I wrote ‘Actor / Pro Wrestler’ under my title. For my special skills, I listed cheer dance and the German suplex (laughs). When I walked out on stage, the audience immediately started murmuring. That’s when I realized how powerful the word ‘pro wrestler’ sounds — and that it could be another one of my strengths.”
>Although her official term as Japan Ambassador has already ended, her achievements were recognized, and she continues to be active as an OG of the program. She actively participates in overseas events promoting Japanese culture, and earlier this year, she appeared in a kimono at the Japan Cultural Festival held on Penang Island, Malaysia.
Anonymous No.19262671 [Report] >>19262675 >>19262715

>“So when I heard I’d be going to Malaysia again, I was really surprised! Last time in Penang, the members of KLP48 were also there, but this time I’ll be participating as a pro wrestler, so I’m really looking forward to it!”
>On November 15, at JioSpace in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, an event called “GOOD LIFE presents LOVE & PEACE” will be held — a unique collaboration between idols and professional wrestling.
Mifu Ashida is scheduled to participate as a pro wrestler, but as a Japan Ambassador, she has no intention of ending her appearance there.
>“For example, after my match, I might do a quick costume change and reappear ringside in traditional Japanese clothing. I’ve been studying Nihon Buyō for a long time, and I can even dress myself in kimono. I’ve always had this dream of appearing in a historical drama wearing traditional attire, so I’m confident in that. In a way, I’d like to show the Malaysian audience a side of Mifu Ashida that people in Japan rarely get to see. Japanese dance and pro wrestling are completely different, right? Japanese dance represents ‘stillness,’ while wrestling is ‘movement.’ But doing both at the same time really works to my advantage. Sometimes in dance I get told, ‘Your movements are too big!’ But in wrestling, that sense of stillness can actually become an important part of the match. That, too, is one of my weapons.”
>“Cheer dance also tends to be more popular overseas, so through wrestling, cheer, and traditional Japanese dress, I want to share the beauty and spirit of Japan with people around the world. I really hope fans will keep an eye on me.”
Anonymous No.19262675 [Report] >>19262715
>>19262671
>Recently, she’s had more opportunities to team up with Yuki Arai, who is also from Kyoto Prefecture.
>“We’ve been teaming up a lot lately — Arai-san even says things like, ‘Let’s do our best next week too!’ (laughs). When I see my fellow debut-mate Wakana Uehara holding the tag belts, or other peers going after championships, it really fires me up and makes me think, ‘I want to do that too!’ I’m from Fukuchiyama City — a bit outside of Kyoto — and yes, it’s the same hometown as Kenta Kobashi! I’d love to one day appear alongside him, and it’s a big dream of mine to return to my hometown for a show after achieving more success. There are so many things I want to do, but above all, I want to stay an interesting person until the day I die!”
>After promoting Japanese culture to the fullest in Malaysia, her next chapter will be to show fans her continued growth on the Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling stage. When this worldly, multi-talented woman steps back into the “Tokyo” ring, there’s no doubt — a brand new scene will unfold before our eyes.

>Suddenly, but—do you remember the CyberFight Game Club? Or rather, do you know about it? CyberFight is the company that my promotion, DDT Pro-Wrestling, belongs to. It’s a subsidiary of CyberAgent and handles the pro-wrestling division. Besides DDT, it also includes Pro Wrestling NOAH and Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. In other words, it’s one company that has three wrestling promotions under it. And within CyberFight, the wrestlers who love games got together and formed the CyberFight Game Club. Well… it’s not like we really do anything, so it’s basically a ghost club with no real form.
>But whenever 4Gamer comes up with a gaming plan, the idea is “Let’s play that game with me, Danshoku Dino, at the center!”—and that’s essentially what this Game Club is about. For now, we operate about once a year. If anyone from a game company or event organizer sees this and wants to make use of the Game Club, please contact the 4Gamer editorial team.
>So with that said—recently, for the first time in a while, the CF Game Club got active again. The game we played was OZ Re:write. This time’s members were Yukio Naya from DDT, and Yuki Aino and Haru Kazashiro from Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. Naya is one of DDT’s top anime fans—someone I call my “Anime Professor.” He’s also the eldest son of a sumo family: his grandfather was the great yokozuna Taihō, his father is Takatōriki, and his three younger brothers are all active sumo wrestlers. I always had a hunch that Yuki Aino liked anime, but through this session I realized she’s far more hardcore than I expected—the old man (me) was a bit overwhelmed. Meanwhile, Haru Kazashiro is a current high-schooler and also a fan of tokusatsu. She’s young enough to be my kid, so doing an activity together like this feels kind of surreal.
>Details will be shared later in a 4Gamer article or video covering the Game Club’s activities, so please give it a try when you get the chance.
