I mean, deathmatch wrestling isn't really supposed to be safe. that's part of the appeal. That being said, there are people that are good at doing it with relative safety while still making it look crazy. AEW really should bring in some of those people instead of trying to get everyone to do hardcore shit.

It is safe though. At least to the best extent it can be. That's the work. They're not going to lose limbs or die from it. Which I think it OP's point about AEW. They push things to as far as is safe so often that it ultimately has no consequence when they do. Both Blood & Guts matches were extremely violent yet neither made me feel a thing because we've seen it all so many times in AEW. There's nowhere new that's safe that they can take it

Anon this happened tonight. Not even 5 minutes later she was back in the match as if it never did. When you tell your audience that nothing has any consequence or weight to it, even if it's completely subconsciously, then they're eventually going to realize oh hey none of this matters. And when that thing is pro wrestling which is fake to begin with then once you break that illusion the entire point goes out the fucking window. There's a reason less and less fans come back for more with each passing year. You can blindly enjoy AEW all you like. Make sure you do while it still lasts
