You are Pagula Mbane, leader of the Mbane goblin tribe!

You are about four or five thousand goblins strong, divided into three different Warrens.

The north warren is led by your cousin Birsk.

The south warren is led by your son Kust.

The center warren and the most populated is your own.

Your warrens are amidst the territory of the Orcish Horde, let by Warchief Krom. They have about a dozen burrows in this land, with a population over twenty thousand orcs, so you pledged vassalage to them, and they felt it natural and accepted.

Pagula's Warren can mobilize about 120 goblins for raids.
Birsk's Warren can mobilize about 100 goblins for raids.
Kust's Warren can mobilize about 80 goblins for raids.

The orcs demand you provide at least 200 goblins to participate in their raids, so your total available is down to:

Pagula's Warren can mobilize about 50 goblins for raids.
Birsk's Warren can mobilize about 30 goblins for raids.
Kust's Warren can mobilize about 20 goblins for raids.

You have 10 female humans in your warren. You don't know how many Birsk and Kust have, but it is probably less.

Female goblins are very rare. You usually just capture females of other races and breed them. 6 goblins are born per gestation on average, from many fathers. It takes roughly 7 to 8 weeks for the goblins to be born.

Goblins can live to be 60 years old, though most of them die much sooner.

Goblins reach sexual maturity by age 2, though their intellects aren't fully developed until age 6.

Goblins are actually quite smart, but they are in a hurry to do stuff, mostly learn by trial and error and don't bother recording anything.

Goblins don't care about anything other than sex, food and weapons.

Only the shamans have a few other concerns. It takes 20 years to train a shaman.

Army: 100 (300) + 10 shamans (firebolt)
Breeding Slaves: 10
Food: Producing food for about 3k goblins, paying 1k worth of tribute to orcs, consuming everything else, no stockpile (food situation: starving, barely surviving)

Your goblins decide to do a Standard Raid!

They rush in, grab anything that looks edible, and run away, hopefully before being caught!

The raid is largely successful! You return with food for about 400 goblins! You suffer very few losses, though you also don't kill many goblins there as your goblins are too poorly armed.

The orc raid is far less successful. The warren they breach, report the few goblin survivors, was choke full of traps. Dozens of goblins died before the orcs even got close. And once they did, they figured the place was too dangerous for them to enter and just smoked the tunnels. The goblins then came out in full force, greatly overwhelming the orcs in number. The fight was fierce and in the end the orcs retreated haphazardly amidst mounting casualties. Only the most cowardly of your own goblins managed to survive!

A few hundred goblins starve to death!

Your spies reveal the orcs been building fences and breeding several herds of yaks! They must have over a thousand yaks by now, and they keep building more fences. The things are huge, but largely feral, going crazy and stomping on anyone who gets nearby over any perceived slight. There are a great deal many yak herds in this region, they must have come from the north fleeing the cold.

The shamans say we gonna need more food, or to get rid of the excess goblins. Perhaps it would be a good idea to go on a raid - again.

Year 2

Army: 100 (150) + 10 shamans (firebolt)
Breeding Slaves: 10
Food: Producing food for about 3.5k goblins, paying 1k worth of tribute to orcs, consuming everything else, no stockpile (food situation: starving, barely surviving)
Weapons: enough for 100 goblins, very low quality (bone spears), the rest is armed with improvised weapons (sticks and stones)

Diplomatic Report:
The orcs tell you to "Replenish your army" for they will be raiding again soon. They give you half a yak carcass from their herds for every survivor (the bad half; so food for about 100-200 goblins). But you did get a lot of bones, with which to fashion some better weapons! (+100 weapons). They should more than replace the ones you lost in the failed orc raid. The orcs still need workers for their mines in the north and they are getting desperate...

You ask the orcs for some Yaks! The orcs say they don't even have enough for themselves. But the plains are rich with them, so feel free to tame some if you so desire. Just build fences around them and make ropes to lasso them when you want to slaughter them. Easy.

Easy, the orcs say. But they are big and strong, and they have a lot of stuff. We can't even feed ourselves properly, and those cheapskates won't even give us some Yaks? We'll show them!

Your spies determine there is some necromancer human woman leading an army of undead somewhere in the north. It is a bunch of animated skeletons mostly. Spooky.

Year 3

Breeding Slaves: 10

Since you are interested in Yaks, the orcs offer you about a thousand Yaks they captured. It should be enough food for 5000 goblins for one year, or could feed about 500 goblins indefinitely if you breed and cull the Yaks.

In exchange, they want a thousand slaves for their mines.

I'll switch to this.

Let's raid to the west it be good to get different slaves than the sausage fest in the north. Can we do more than one action? Or build something that passively trains warriors?
