I use SD through the Krita plugin. In this case, after some other attempts: first a little Gaussian blur and actually downscaling to 50%, both to mitigate the grittiness. Then upscale with Real_HAT_GAN_sharper, using a refiner (probably RealDream_Pony) with a basic text prompt.
