Yeah. I'll just have to leave the US to flex. I can see myself living in a penthouse in Thailand. That's in the realm of possiblity for me.

No, I'll be a wagie until I die barring something crazy like getting hit by a bus so I can sue, but then I'll likely be so disabled I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

Most likely no, I honestly see myself being a homeless schizo in my future. Only reason why I didn't become one now is because my mom is a lovely woman who lets me stay here but she's getting old and I'm useless.

I started out really motivated and thriving and I let one woman completely destroy my life, I still haven't figured out how to accept my loss of innocence to that the world actually is

Is the Xitter user saying that's good value or bad value? It's not huge but it's a nice view and far more space than you'd get for $199,999 in New York.

No. And statistically if you weren't born into a already well off rich family the odds are extremely low you're going to be rich yourself. Unless you get very lucky with the entertainment industry (music, acting, sports, comedy etc) or college connections (start up company fag that gets in early before they sell out to venture capitalist). Most young people still have it in their mind their life is a movie and things are just going to "happen" to them as time goes on. If you can't very clearly see how, when and why you're going to end up wealthy by 40 guess what you aren't. Shit doesn't just "happen" to you to make your dreams come true you have to painstakingly deliberately try to force them to happen step by step and even then you can try everything and still just get fucked and end up getting no where. That's real life.

no, ngmi. you don't make it unless you're lucky. you can boil it all down to rng and even moreso if you know that willpower/willingness to work is rng too.

yeah, it's annoying seeing my rich friend's hard work payoff when it's literally just their parent's connections helping them. they DID work hard, but they'll never realize how many people do work hard without the same return. working my ass of in customer service doesn't mean i'll get a 6fig job from it.

How bad is Toronto in terms of immigrants? Tbh I honestly dont mind immigrants to an extent. Canada was settled by whites so I can't imagine they are anywhere close to a minority.

depends where you're at. anywhere on the EW bloor danforth line is like 40% nonwhite at least. near union is quite white though. in general the more northwest of union you go the more brown it gets, the more northeast the more yellow it gets.

As long as you don't have kids, 1200 sq ft is fine. Single family homes used to be 1500 in the middle of the 20th century. It's only in recent decades that normal houses became small mansions. You're probably just used to seeing poorly designed houses that don't utilize their space because developers only care about the sell price. They'll add excessively large spaces to inflate the square footage and then charge a million dollars for it.

If you think $200k should buy more, then it's not gonna be in Chicago and it's definitely not gonna have an unobstructed view of the lake.

I wouldn't be surprised though if it is really a $100/night hotel room the poster is pretending to be a condo, though.
