>>81473003 (OP)Understand that those IPs only existed during their prime in the way they did due to the passion around the original ideas present. Anything kept going on like that will erode without the founding vision. Most creatives move on once they have explored their ideas fully. The few who stay become hacks themselves. Halo is the prime example of that. There were still some good ideas once bungie left but the team that brought all of these ideas together into what Halo was will never do so again. That hegemony is gone when teams like that dissolve. The franchises left behind always become a shadow of what they were. It is the fate of every single property like this. It is very important to just enjoy what has been created that was good rather than attaching any aspect of your personality to these brands as a whole. There are great works being made right now, and by the time you find them, they will have already begun to lose their original vision themselves. It is an endless cycle in any creative business. Just look at Bonnie Ross. I think this bitch really thought she was going to do Halo justice but she didn't come up with any aspect of what Halo was originally. Even with the best of intentions, she, and most of 343 were only ever fans of what someone else made. Therefore everything they are allowed to make inevitably ends up as glorified fanfiction by comparison.
