But you can never directly look at the sun anons. No wonder people worshiped it. It literally controls life but life is unable to even directly stare at it unless you wanna go blind.

Suntanning is not some magic property of the sun. It is simply cooking you like toasting a marshmallow. Your chance of getting cancer is 10x higher from sunlight than cigarette smoke.

Humans worshiped the sun because without it we can't see shit. We didn't evolve good night vision and we're utterly helpless in the dark. For 200000 years we were prey and most of the time we were taken in the night by large cats or dogs that could track us by scent and sound. Fear of the dark is a normal evolutionary trait.
