In general and without going into details, bad scripts. Bad scripts for movies, games and anything else. I personally hate the way millenials write stories. Waayy too many franchises that shouldn't be failing, are failing. Just my opinion, thought.

I think you have to be aware of only very mainstream media to conclude that all millennials are bad artists. A lot of the time it's not even those artists' fault, but the boomer higher ups that just need the slop machine functioning on a steady rate
I make my own escapist self-insert art though, so I guess I don't care about that aspect as much

A24 movies, low-budget, etc. I play VGs but don't touch manga or even anime. Anime has lost it's luster from what it was back in the 90s, and I was never a manga person anyway.
