>>81485459 (OP)my great grandparents were starving immigrants who came to the USA with just a suitcase, a criminal, a sweatshop worker sewing clothing, and a landless farmhand. My grandparents were very poor blue collar workers in non-union jobs. My Parents were lower middle class small business owners. An I am upper-middle class, or rich, depending on how you paint it.
Every generation worked hard, and sacrificed so that the next generation could have it better. I would do the same, if i had children. But I'm getting old, and I probably won't have children, so my family line will end with me; and all of the sacrifices, and hard work, will have amounted to nothing. I wish I could go back in time, and tell my ancestors to live more selfishly; I didn't deserve their blood, sweat, and tears.
