They are normies so they're really just terrible people.
You guys are just kinda racist(you just say nigger, shitskin etc i won't fuck a sheboon, jeets etc) you're not really bad people per se.
Normies are geniunely psychopaths and evil people who should be purged.
End of tedtalk

TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram are so much worse than YouTube, it seems like trolling and hate comments have become normal accepted parts of internet culture.

No they aren't though I think it depends on what you're watching too. The meanest I've seen youtube comments is in low quality politics video where there are third worlders and american low iq boomers being openly racist. The comments in the videos I normally watch are definitely nicer than this site.

People on 4chan,despite being edgy and retarded, are not generally evil. If some mass genocide happened, the average 4channer would be hiding in their basement or fleeing the country, while the YouTube/xitter/TikTok commenter would happily put on a uniform and partake in mass murder.

The tech elite have realized that making the internet aggressive and hard to navigate leads to people who buy more from ads. They become reactionary and engage with the platforms more if they are angry.

As a result, early 4chan trolling culture is basically the entire internet now. Instagram and Twitter are substantially more edgy than this place. While this place is still an echo chamber, you can build much more powerful echo chambers on 'normie' sties. Early 4chan trolling is now a commodity product that's shipped out to boomers and developing nations that were never mentally prepared for this.

The consolidation of internet traffic into a select few companies is the worst mistake we've ever made. We're only seeing the beginning of the social and political consequences. Algorithms are ruining people's lives. Tech companies have been given a free pass on making the social media equivalent of black tar heroin, and this site was unironically a research ground on how to rile people up. It's not entirely their fault, as motivated interest groups abuse the platforms for their own gains, but these companies have been extremely negligent in transparency. They do not police bot networks because bot networks look like traffic which drives advertising revenue.

Big tech wants to obfuscate search engines and the ability to find your own content and communities. They want to tell you what to watch through a drip feed algo. They want you to be lonely, because friends take you away from the screen. Family takes you away from the screen. Community takes you away from the screen.

If you think you hate executives at Meta and Google, you don't hate them enough.
