Let's be serious.
Ever since 1967 (58 years ago) there have been several cases of cattle mutilation and no one has been able to determine what or who's causing them.
No one was ever captured doing it, or guilty, even tho cases were investigated as if they were human cases (so full investigation with laboratory tests, site tests, patrol, etc).
What is killing these cows? Some options that come to mind:
- Cults
- Pranksters/Criminals
- Government
- Aliens
- Predators
- Self-mutilation (new theory)
Characteristics:
- Missing Organs: Eyes, tongues, udders, anuses, and sex organs are commonly removed. Sometimes internal organs like the heart, lungs, or brain are also gone.
- Precise Cuts: Wounds often appear clean and "surgical," as if made with a sharp instrument, with no jagged edges or obvious tear marks.
- Lack of Blood: Despite the removal of organs, there's frequently little or no blood found at the scene or within the carcass. Blood pooling, expected after death, is often absent.
- No Footprints/Tracks: A lack of tracks around the animal, even its own, is often noted, despite the animal's large size and the potential for a struggle.
- No Scavenger Activity (initially): Reports often mention that scavengers like buzzards or coyotes seem to avoid the carcasses for an unusual period.
- Unusual Odors: Some witnesses report a strange, sometimes medicinal, smell.
- Lack of Struggle: The animals often appear to have died without a struggle, sometimes found in positions suggesting they simply collapsed.
- Broken Bones (less common): In some cases, bones are broken, or the animal appears to have fallen from a height.
The most recent case in the US in May 2023 (Texas): Six cows were found dead and mutilated in three Texas counties, with their tongues completely removed by "straight, clean cuts" and some having their anus and genitalia removed with similar precision. There was no evidence of struggle, footprints, or tire marks.
