If you base your own value on how much you have sex, you might as well be a woman.

Morality comes from achievement, the more you achieve the better person you are. Having sex is an achievement. So people who don't have sex are morally inferior to those who do. If you promote this you are evil.

No.

So celibate monks are morally inferior to a serial rapist?
What drugs are you on?

Celibate monks contribute nothing to the world. Fucking off into a monastery does not make the world a better place.

Monasteries actually do alot for society
not just the Kung fu ones but western monasteries as well
>Raise alms for the poor
>Take care of sick and homeless
>provide homes for orphans
>serve as a cultural area for education and held several documents and lore pertaining to the culture
>some of them serve as tourists attractions raising money for the area
>Monks usually knew a trade and used it to benefit the area
The fact you think monasteries are worthless and the fact they are not seen as important as they used to be just signals the degradation of society.
Don't get me wrong christcucks are still cucks but they actually provided a useful service in the past

The other guy that answered was not me.
Anyways, in the world I live in, one can be moral without achievements. At the same time be a depraved amoral monster and have a ton of achievements.
Thus, what you said just makes no sense. So, No.
Also, good to know that the serial rapist seems to be morally superior.
Again, no sense. Not to me or any of the people in my life.

Where do you live? Some places, like, say, India, can be drastically culturally different.

I live in the United States.
I believe that moral action is that which MAKES THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. And what makes the world a better place? A lot of people believe that they should be humble, and subservient, and forgive misgivings, but those qualities don't actually help anyone. Even activities which undeniably make the world better for individual people - like contributing to charity - are mere bandaids for broader societal issues. They don't make the world substantially better. You know what really makes the world better? Accomplishment. By far the greatest contribution to quality of life through all of human history was the advancement of technology. Inventors and scientists were not motivated by making others "feel better," they wanted to achieve something great, but in so doing they actually benefitted the world to a far greater degree than any charity worker sweating his ass off to build homes in Africa or raise money for homeless shelters or whatever the fuck. The same can be said for world leaders, explorers, philosophers, artists, industrialists, and academics, but it can't be said for monks who treat only the symptom and not the disease. The real driver of positive social change is achievement; we should encourage achievement above all else.

It was monasteries that served as basis for education (and indirectly technological advancement) in medieval Europe. Your average monkcel a millennium ago contrabuted infinitely more to science than some <85 IQ Chad today producing tens of bastard children that end up being raised by single mothers. And it doesn't stop with the clergy, Newton, Nietzsche, and Tesla all died virgins while Beethoven was an incel who frequented brothels.

I don't really care about your retarded monastery argument, but I want to address those people you listed at the end. They're all really bizarre choices
>Nietzsche
This argument >>81500991 comes almost word for word from Nietzsche
>Newton
An excellent example of an achiever, someone who expressed far greater morality than charity workers because his work actually helped a substantive number of people
>Tesla
See Newton
>Beethoven
Again, Beethoven's music was heard by millions of people. He wasn't a great guy but he was moral because he achieved such great heights.

You keep saying accomplishment but what does that actually mean what are we accomplishing here?
The fact is that the basis of society is those things you think are bandaids, the basis of treating a wound is wrapping it up.
These monks and monasteries that you are shitting on contributed to science and technology(an accomplishment) educated the masses(which will later allow them to accomplish things) and uplifted the needy(an accomplishment that would later allow those people to accomplish things).
You don't just accomplish things there is basis, a starting point.
A rapist that accomplishes things(Ghengis Khan for instance) doesn't provide more to society than say a guy putting in the work to improve his community. Sure they had a big effect on history and accomplished things but those empires fell and those accomplishments are just words on a parchment at the end of the day, helping day to day life and building a good society at its foundation.
A good man accomplishes more by improving his surroundings and community not by going on epic campaigns.

>I don't really care about your retarded monastery argument
Because you can't refute it. Your initial point was about how much of an achievement sex is
>Having sex is an achievement. So people who don't have sex are morally inferior to those who do.
According to this point, the men I listed are inherently inferior to someone like Ted Bundy who got laid but was also an absolute piece of shit. Now you just moved the goalposts to achievements in general.

No, the argument was always achievement in general. You're moving the goalposts to switching it to only sex, because that's an easier argument for you.
>>81501419
An accomplishment is a task at which you've succeeded. The greatness of an accomplishment is relative to how much of an impact it has on history.

ok, this argument started about sex so honestly not important to me since you all talk about this all day without getting any which confuses me.
I was simply arguing that monasteries are important so this talk about accomplishment is kind of moot I guess since i don't care about it and i don't disagree with it either and it doesn't factor into the fact that monasteries are culturally and societally important.
This discussion is all over the place....and silly have a good day
