I believe that moral action is that which MAKES THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. And what makes the world a better place? A lot of people believe that they should be humble, and subservient, and forgive misgivings, but those qualities don't actually help anyone. Even activities which undeniably make the world better for individual people - like contributing to charity - are mere bandaids for broader societal issues. They don't make the world substantially better. You know what really makes the world better? Accomplishment. These monks and monasteries that you are shitting on contributed to science and technology(an accomplishment) educated the masses(which will later allow them to accomplish things) and uplifted the needy(an accomplishment that would later allow those people to accomplish things).
You don't just accomplish things there is basis, a starting point.
