Life is suffering, chasing the dragon, realizing it's hell again.

plato might say we are born with all knowledge and we just remember stuff but that still means you have to remember it
there might be nothing new under the sun but it can still be new to me

>Plato
The guy who said ideas (immutable forms) are more real then reality? Aka: the guy who invented leftism?
Buddy, you gotta get out of your head and back to reality (get some common sense). That's why people say "the left can't meme" because they're always textwalling, because to them ideas are more real then the real. Don't be like that. Life sucks then you die. So how you cope is what matters, not dwelling on the fact it sucks.

>The guy who said ideas (immutable forms) are more real then reality
that's not what he said
he said the realm of forms is where ideas are purely expressed whereas in physical reality we see imperfect reflections of them
and he was right
consider a sphere as our example, we can imagine a perfect sphere with perfectly curved edges and this exists in the realm of forms
however, in reality no such sphere exists for even a ball of oil trapped in a still fluid will have defects even if only on a scale imperceptible without instruments
i don't see the relevance of this anyway
>Life sucks then you die.
if this is your philosophy and outlook then why would anyone ever listen to you?

I'm sorry I can't really help your melancholy. I had a friend like you who drank herself to death in Oct 2023 (got jaundice and then COVID), she was smart and knew her philosophy and literature, but also not smart because she died needdlessly. It's scary how far people can fall if they fall into habits, I mean even "normal" habits are frightening. You know I go to estate sales, where you get to see how old people lived, basically time capsules where they just spun their wheels doing the same thing day in and day out, and then they died. I've seen houses where (other than food) nothing was newer then the 1950s, the nineteen fucking fifties! They lived the same day over and over and over like in some kind of time loop, same old shit everyday. Just don't end up like that.

oh no i love life!
i'm sad because my body is slowly accumulating damage and i either can't prevent it or can't reverse it
like i'm exposed to cigarette smoke and particularly thirdhand smoke daily through work and family and although i've started causing a stink about it more and drawing boundaries i can't totally avoid it, particularly the thirdhand smoke
that's just one example too like there are loads from exhaust fumes to uv radiation and as much as i might put an air purifier in my car or wear sunscreen i'm still exposed to some extent
these little things chipping away at my healthbar every day until eventually i'm gonna die or, worse, go demented
i love being alive it's ultra mega i just wish i was living in italian marche or calabria eating fresh herbs and tomatoes with potatoes and lentils every day occasionally going to town to buy some fish, materials, or supplies
unfortunately i live in mordor instead

>Aren't there laws to stop it?
is smoking outright illegal anywhere?
not everyone smokes and yes it is illegal indoors but people still do it
>Wait were do you live? Russia? Ukraine? Syria?
mordor
>What do you mean by mordor?
an industrial hellscape where former men have been transformed and warped into abominations who serve evil machinations and cruel conniving despots; they clamber over the exhausted and ruined bodies of one another, vying for their opportunity to sit atop the undead throne only to forever find their tower of babel growing further and further beyond them as more bodies pile on and the mass of corpses grows faster than they can clamber up it
did i get carried away? i like the metaphor
