I am Australian, but people keep accusing me of speaking with an English accent

How the fuck can I be speaking ENGLISH with an ENGLISH accent?

actually i might be able to help. murican who moved upside down when he was like, 3. my sis was 2 and a half years older, and for some reaosn, she sounded like steve irwin in like 6 months while i still sounded like an american for almost my whole tenure.

throwing out my basic outline for why i think this happened, most of the media, music, and tv content in australia, was american. i was already basement dweller neet mode at 5 years old and got most of my entertainment via a computer, and since most media was american, i heard american accents, listened to american music, read american books, yadda yadda

and people used to ask me if i was jamican online. all the time.
