very very soon i will hit my 20s and i dont know what im doing. both irl and on this shithole it's pretty common for people to describe your 20s as being a mans "prime" years and i dont want to waste it
so since theres a plethora of late 20s/30s people here id like some advice
my main plight is that im very moneyminded and i dont want to let myself have any fun until i hit 6 digits in the bank, but im also aware that by the time that happens my 20s will probably be close to ending, so i dont know what i want really
if it narrows it down any, im employed, live with parents and am unbothered about getting laid

That's the age where you can experience teen love, no responsibilities, parties, having sex at an acceptable age, and building the foundations on which your future relationships and life will be built.

My 20s were a short-lived "prime" followed by old patterns coming back to haunt me. I feel like I came out of my shell when I went away to college in the way most people do when they go to high school, so I don't regret doing that in spite of the fact that it was a waste of money and an academic failure. After two years with a stick up my ass, I loosened up, got drunk, dated two girls, got laid literally one time, then dropped out. I haven't touched a girl romantically since. At your age I was feeling hard what you say you're unbothered about. I mean I wasn't trying to get my dick wet, but I was. I really wanted a girl to love me, to hold her, but I also wanted her to be mine. And I had something like that, for a little while, which in a cosmic sense is all that anyone can say. all of my hobbies cost money, i like stargazing but telescopes cost many hundreds of dollars, i like scuba diving but diving costs many hundreds of dollars, i live in the US which is a very geographically and naturally diverse country, but it's also huge so travelling costs many hundreds of dollars
i find video games boring
i have many things i want to experience but my instinct to hoard as many resources as possible softlocks me from having any kind of pleasure and i fear im going to spend my entire 20s just wageslaving and obsessing over money rather than having actual experiences
