How to lead conversations and what are good topics? One friend of mine just whips out random hypotheticals and can keep conversations going forever. I never understood how/why but I need to to get a gf or even get more friends. it's fucking annoying.

imo one of the best conversational skills to have is always making sure what you say has enough content for the other person to engage with it

Let's say someone was trying to get to know you and they asked how your day is going. If you just say "good" or "fine" they literally have nothing to go off of. A good response would need a bit more of a description of why it's going good so the other person has a talking point they can use and also you'd ask the same question back to the person

Just make sure whenever you're talking with a person the other person has points to engage with if they want to

Good topics are whatever you like, mimic your friend questions if you think they are that good, it's not hard. Receive whatever it inspires you and go with that.
