No most people do both stupid and smart things throughout the day however when people do stupid things it usually comes with negative consequences so we notice it more and it makes us angry.

Somewhere around 99% of people have a lower IQ than I do. Sorry for bragging, but it feels material to this thread.
I often feel that I am stupider than the people around me. Then they open their mouths and I realize their inner world is far more barren than mine. The fact is the average person doesn't know anything. It's a little depressing to learn that, as retarded as I am, every other person on Earth is even more retarded than me. But there isn't much to do about it.

something ive noticed in life is that it is easier to notice the "stupid" and the mistakes others make throughout the day, than what theyre doing right. so i dont think people are overwhelmingly stupid or anything, i just think the human brain is primed to look for the bad and underappreciate how much good the average person does
