Moved across the country and have like low mid tier social skills. Problem is now that I'm out of college I have no forced social interaction. Should I just become Catholic? The religion makes sense but I'm nervous about the doing the RCIA stuff by myself but also want to be social again.

I also do just feel a really strong pull to Catholicism and idk why.

start going to catholic mass and see how you like it. i'm not confirmed yet, so when they do communion, i go up and cross my arms in front of my chest and instead of taking communion, the priest just blesses me. get a rapport with the priest, meet the deacon who does RCIA and chat with him after mass for a few weeks, and when you get into RCIA, it won't feel like you're alone because you know the deacon.

It seems very immoral to inject yourself into a religion out of social desperation rather than faith. You will likely never be as truly involved as someone who was born into it, but maybe you'll find yourself believing, maybe not. Go for it and see how you feel. But don't make any dedications (like being baptized) unless you are 100% sure, otherwise you'll have even less integrity as it seems you have now.

People convert from protestantism or other denominations are welcome at mass
I always enjoyed Bishop Barron's film reviews, it brought me closer to the faith

Wouldn't be considering it if I didn't believe. Grew up irreligious but in the past couple years that has changed for me. Had a friend bring up God's plan when I was struggling and for some reason it clicked. Only thing is I've never been to church so I don't know what I don't know, not the best in new social situations.

find a smaller scale church, just start coming the same time each week and awkwardly sitting in the back row. they don't care. they like new faces and will eventually start talking to you.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord."

Matthew 21:28 "What do you think? A man had two sons; and he went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work in the vineyard today.' 29 And he answered, 'I will not'; but afterward he repented and went. 30 And he went to the second and said the same; and he answered, 'I go, sir,' but did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the harlots believed him; and even when you saw it, you did not afterward repent and believe him.

(cont) obviously don't convert/receive sacraments if you don't have faith. but you definitely should inquire given there is real hope you might get faith later ("I also do just feel a really strong pull to Catholicism and idk why."). faith is a gift from God, pray that God strengthens you.

This. The ritual and the practice of Christianity is designed to be attractive. Like a trap for an animal.

Join the Freemasons instead and become a shriner so you can wear a fez and drive those tiny cars.
