Maybe it sucks and is yucky but it doesn't matter because the purpose of marriage is not to stroke some delulu egos.
The purpose of wife and husband is to be a pillar of support for each other in health and sickness. It doesn't matter if they are not perfect as long as they are capable of kindness, care, stability and honesty.
I hope you haven't ever complained about the loneliness epidemic, because if you did that would make a hypocrite. The purpose of family is only understood by lonely people.
