I just finished watching the inbetweeners again and it just shows how much teens used to go out and do shit, not sit at home, send each other memes which aren't funny and try and preen their hair to be the fluffiest so they can get more instagram likes...thats all btw I'm a zoomer too

Well, where? And what do you do? I've been trying to join a private club in my city and there just aren't any. There aren't many third spaces either. There's nothing going on.

or mentally blasted from their wage cucking. No, working out does not make you feel better mentally, its just placebo. I dont care what nerd studies you've read, when I leave the gym, my problems are the same, thus my mood is the same

Most people already aren't that hardworking. I agree that it doesn't improve my mood unless I play the sport I enjoy, but it's necessary to keep my body healthy. So yeah, just laziness.

looked over some old cartoons, photos, posters, flyers, magazines, etc. with my brothers and i'm kind of upset at how many different things families used to do before social media took over.
i remember my older sister getting super excited to go to our local amusement park's (since discontinued) annual halloween event, or on a whim going to a water park or a beach on a hot day. my subdivision used to have a huge block party every year right before the school year started before some of the older folks retired and moved away. i'd go on fishing and camping trips with my uncles and cousins or week-long road trips with my family. we used to do picnics and evening trail walks.
but zoomers don't do shit now. i got to college and spent a lot of my time studying/working without recreation and it wore on me, so i started promising myself at least one weekend out of town a month. worked pretty well, but i was really lonely.

Part of the issue for me is that I don't have anyone to do anything WITH. I do a lot of stuff alone but it isn't as fun. Part of the reason I need a girlfriend so badly is that I love going out and experiencing things and I'm tired of doing it by myself.

yeah. i had a decently-sized friend group and dated a couple girls, but only one of them (a girlfriend) ever seemed to be interested in setting something up out of town.
we settled on a cozy little inn in rural new england (i'd wanted to get some wintry photos of the mountains and lakes and had a couple friends from high school i wanted to meet up with). once we got there though she gave me a hard time and stayed inside watching friends all weekend, so i still felt the loneliness...
maybe it's slightly better for europeans? i'm a phd student now and a lot of the yuro postdocs seem to be really into america's park systems and are willing to get out from time to time.

lmao wat? Nothing like how mine was, what are you on about?
Sounds like you just believed a stupid sitcom to be real life and then projecting how boring zoomers are when it's just called reality. You are as bad a MLP fans who truly think the ponies talk to them.

When I was a teenager back in the mid 2000s I used to go out all the time. To be fair things were a lot cheaper back then as well. We used to just hang out in the skate park on our bicycles. We'd do that all summer. The phones we had back then didn't really have the internet, so the only time we used the internet is when we went home on our laptops.
