I don't like leftist moral rigidity and how they have no tolerance for human imperfection or how people make imperfect decisions in a harsh world. They are also worse than religious people because they don't believe in forgiveness. I just assume people like that are from privileged background

I agree. I've always felt that way despite having a lot of left views.

From what I've seen, they are unforgiving of being unforgiving. Meaning they want everyone else to forgive them, but won't do the same to others since it's convenient for them. They expect everyone else to operate the same way too, which is where the neurosis comes in.

In that sense, yes. However they are almost identical to the religious people in how they think.

They get an idea in their head and elevate it to the most important thing ever and reject all criticism of the idea. Anyone who dares question it is bad, wrong, evil, or they have some ulterior motive. They stop being rational and break off into these factions of other losers who all only believe in the idea so they can hide from criticism and anyone trying to speak reason to them.

I had to face that if I can't stand the religious for their deranged self-delusions I can't make an exception for leftists or I'm the hypocrite. Difficult though, they really treat you like the enemy if you start questioning their nonsense. It feels exactly the same when I started questioning religion during adolescence. The same anger, the same social blowback, the same delusional cowards hiding from reality.

It depends on who you talk to, I'm a socialist

A modern. progressive is an idealist who has no tolerance for hypocrisy, human imperfection, intolerance, etc.

My experience is that genuine Marxist socialists are quite a bit more forgiving. They might be pozzed retards, but they'll say reactionary shit sometimes because it's funny and have the ability to forgive.

A good example is that of the internal self flagellation a champagne socialists has to go through, and how much they're held to account in socialist parties.

>generalize and strawman 3 wildly different groups of people
how about you make an identity for yourself instead of getting mad at people you've made up in your head

not talking about people who support left-wing policy so much as a specific kind of type. I have seen people in leftist circles online genuinely say that schizophrenia and dementia is "an explanation but not an excuse" for taboo behaviour or speech. Like a mentally ill homeless person should be held "accountable" for violating those kind of moral norms. It is just crazy

Leftism is a lot like religion with the same fanatical and unquestionable dogma, the same intolerance for blasphemy, and the same sense of insufferable moral self-righteousness.

Accountability isn't a bad thing; it just means having an explanation: the ability to account for your actions. "I'm allowed to yell the N-word because of mental illness" is a valid card.
