I'm agnostic but Calvinism is easily my favorite branch of Christianity. They seem like the only branch the actually cares about logical consistency (and of course, for this reason, everyone hates them.)

The largest growing religion is indeed "none," but ask its adherents what they believe and they'll mostly say that they're spiritual but not religious. Ritual artifacts dating back hundreds of thousands of years have been found, so the natural state of humanity is to be spiritual, if not necessarily codifying those rituals into religion.
