Anyone else here a shut in? How has it affected you?

Personally, Ive been a shut in since I was 15. I had home instruction in high school which is basically when I do school at home. Im 22 now.

I dont have many memories from when I was a teen because I did the same things every day(mostly gaming). Time goes by really fast.
I feel like im missing out on life.

no money/job/education/credentials/life/woman/house/electronics/housing/car/license/everything/dealing with government for minimum amount of shekels to survive and getting tossed around like a prison bitch and being cucked while people are living their lives waging and earning a livable wage literal fucking retardation
my tip? don't
pushing 40 life and course correcting a 2 decade fuck up is annoying

I've been a shut-in NEET for many years. My social skills have degraded, but they were never great in the first place. I think being a shut-in has deprived me of opportunities for a younger self and relationships with people who might have given me a more supportive social network. As a musician, it has also prevented me from breaking into the scene or making connects.

Only recently have I been able to go out regularly, but it is almost exclusively to go to a local ice skating rink. I find it helps to have just one or two places you can get used to going to regularly, especially if you can do an activity that requires your constant attention.

>Anyone else here a shut in?
I think a lot of shut-ins, autists, and incels post here, anon.
Since my folks died, I am compelled to go outside for food. Since my grandpa was moved out of the city (and later died), I have had little reason to meet with anyone, outside of rare meetings with distant family or a friend. I just go out twice a week.
>How has it affected you?
Made it impossible to socialise or have sex. Though my mental illnesses and bald manletism also doomed me.
Though as an autist who couldn't last in a job, I realise I am much better off as a shut-in NEET, than to keep trying to be a normie and failing hard.
>Time goes by really fast.
Indeed. I found it to speed up as I get older. Especially after 30.
>I feel like im missing out on life.
And how, brother. I'm almost 40 and I never lived.
Just hoping to survive as a NEET in this remaining time and die before 60 like my folks did.

>Anyone else here a shut in?
Only time I go outside is to get some sun or groceries. Does this count?
>How has it affected you?
I've been dealt with a non-existent social life. If it wasn't for online classes, I would probably be suicidal with nothing to do all day.I'm at the point with consuming where I have run out of content I was interested in or have become numb to it. Gaming is barely fun anymore (the reason I became shut-in in the first place). Pretty sure I have AvPD as I have had many opportunities to make/keep friends but end up ghosting them for no conceivable reason.
>I dont have many memories from when I was a teen because I did the same things every day(mostly gaming)
Literally me. I would game for 10 hours a day during my teen years without a care in the world. Can't remember anything from then.
>I feel like im missing out on life.
Yep. Didn't have this issue when I was a teen. I just wish I had a single friend to play games with.
>I had home instruction in high school which is basically when I do school at home.
Do you think this affected the way you turned out today? My school gave me the option to do this but my parents forced me to do in-person so I would avoid becoming a hermit--didn't change anything, lol.
Thank you for this thread. It felt good to get some of this off my mind (if you reply, I will see it in the morning).

I was for a very long time, like a decade at least. I talk to myself, trying to quit
